P0340 ERROR CODE
#2
It is a Cam Position Sensor malfunction. The most likely culprit is the alternator. There was a big thread on that code that disappeared here. But, read these two threads:

Do you by any chance have a Meziere eH2O pump installed?

OK... I was just wondering if the pump was contributing to these codes. I'm pretty sure the rest of us had the pumps when we threw the P0340 code.

I have the Steeda Pulleys and I got the same code, Ford replaced the alternator per the TSB, after I got the car back from ford I reinstalled the stock pulleys, and I got the error again yesterday. set the car to stock and I still get the CEL P0340. I do not know, it must be a bad cam position sensor..
Let me ask, just before you get the code does the throttle get boggy, hard to accelerate and does the engine get a little rough? just womdering.
