bottom line... anything more than $20 a horse is a waste of money...unless you are Jay Leno or a competition racer.

The stock exhaust is already 2.5" and Borla has an X-pipe "clamp-on" that will save you bucks for a few more hp!!!

Don't be a fool!!

just stay tuned in the S197 GT Tech & Performance, and all of your answers will soon be answered. alot of the mods I want to do have been done by a few members, (2005RedGT has a greats site with all the mods and info on his car, search his threads) Since I dont have delivery on my GT yet Im just sitting back and reading all about everyone elses mod pros and Cons. In a few more months many products will be redily availible and someone here at TMS will have had it installed and tested and reviewed for our reading pleasure.

Personally I am saving up for a Twin Screw Supercharger. a bit pricey, but when you add up all of the OTHER mods (exhaust, CAI, Pulleys, Gearing, Wheels and Tires) you may do for just a handfull of HP, you have to decide what you really want from the car.

my goal is to beat my friends suped up Infinity G35 off the line and down the road, which shouldn't be a problem once im done with my black Beauty.
I can't believe that you guys are talking about supercharging a 9.8:1 all aluminum engine, probably with cast pistons. Where are you going to get the 2 tanks of 100+ octane gas that you will need before you call in the Roll-Back?

Why not? People have been supercharging the exact same shortblock in the Mach 1 for a couple of years now. You get into trouble when you try to push to much boost. Running 8-10lbs of boost on the stock internals should not be a problem with the right tune.

There has been mention of Charge Motion Plates for m Steeda. What exactly are they and how much of a gain do you get from them?

They replace the OEM plates that are between the head and intake. I will be installing mine first week of Jan and will get you all the details. I will start a new post and put up some pics and details with Dyno numbers. I get a base line dyno number on Wens next week.

you definately have to go conservative on the psi from the supercharger.
otherwise your engine will go boom

I will remove the trap, and add a CAI and Flash, which should hold me until I can afford the big Whipple!

Also my do some cosmetic surgery, like a molded duck tail and Louvers.
