i already have a K&N CAI on my car and i know i can get it tuned for that intake but i was just wondering.....would i get any more HP out of a different intake than i would with my K&N?

 

I think you might get a few but ask Doug he will tell you whats best.

 

yes you will get an additional 15+ horsepower either with the C&L or the JLT, well worth the investment. i only picked up 2 HP from my K&N when I added a tune. so total, 17 HP. I traded for the C&L and made 31HP total

Was that while blown or while you were N/A?

What octane was the tune, I have to assume a 93?

did you have other engine mods that the CAI was amplifying the returns on?

no no no, a tuner and a C&L/JLT intake will give you 30+HP on a N/A motor, 93 octane, maybe more. a CAI alone will only give you about 15HP. but the MAF size is bigger on the C&L/JLT intakes than on the K&N intake.

a K&N intake gives you 15HP bolted on, but doesnt require a tune. if you were to tune it and tweak a few more ponies, then you would only get about 1-2HP extra HP(as has happened to me).

That is impressive, no wonder people are so crazy for intake and tunes.
