one tire burnout
You can't.
the detriot true-trac is a torque biasing diff ( like a torsen )
or worm drive diff. althought they are awsum for the street and road racing they do have their limitations for drag racing.
i called detroit and talked to the tech dept and they told me that a true-trac
would'nt survive in my roadster, at the drag strip. so id be wary if your making over 500 hp. ( i know thats fairly hard to do with our three valves, but...)

lot of folks dont realize that if only one tire spins, that it spins at twice the speed on the speedometer...the differential ends up becoming a 2:1 overdrive(minus rolling rpm of non-spinning tire) to the 'loose' tire.
the relatively high rpm on the spider gears will wear them in a hurry(they only normally turn a few rpm inside the spinning carrier when cornering), let alone the heat in the tiny clutch packs...I saw a set of spider gears and bearing shaft from a buddies tire smoking fun...musta had 1/8" molten out between the gear/notch in shaft...

i had the same problem too at the track last night. right tire spins left doesnt., i believe the diff is fine and it is from powerbraking the burnout. i spun my left tire today on a lift while installing the FRPP handling kit and the right spun as well. spun the right and the left spun as well so the diff is good. its from braking too hard. get line locks. thats my next mod.
