Oil Separator

Anyone know if this might work on our cars. Look like a great idea if it actually does it's job.

IF it works it could be a good deal, but... First I would stay away from RPM Outlet for all the bad stuff I've read about them and the tried and true method seems to be working quite well for most, a re-invention of the wheel doesn't seem that beneficial.

I could be wrong.

I'm not looking forward to spending 200+ bucks for a setup but once I do go FI, if I gotta spend the money to do it right, then I'll do it

It looks like it would work, but there would be a LOT of work getting it to mate up to our motors. The oil filler neck that this replaces is on the passenger side, but the PCV outlet and manifold inlet are on the driver's side, so you would need to route a lot of hoses back and forth. In addition, you would need to fabricate some sort of fitting to adapt the PCV valve hole to a a 90* hose nipple at the top. I think you'd be better off sticking with the "traditional" Stef's catch can...

What hoses did you use? Source, connectors, etc...
As I understand it, the Stefs unit comes with just the catch can? Where did you get the rest of the hardware?

The fittings are Earls (IIRC 1/2" NPT to 5/8" hose barb, both 90*), the hoses and clamps are just "dress-up" braided stuff. Pretty simple, really! You *COULD* go to actual -AN fittings, but I think it would be a waste of money given the actual pressures (vacuum) seen through the system. Summit for the whole deal (except the can itself), but you can save about $4.00 if you shop around with different vendors. For me, the single purchase source was worth the extra few dollars. The can I got direct from Stef's.
