Can somebody tell me what kind of oil the Gt comes with and what does Ford recommend for oil in this car, is it synthetic...
my plan was to put a couple of hundred miles on it, then change it, then put 1200k on it and then change it again, then 3000 more and change it again but at this time switch to synthetic...Anybody have any knowledgable thoughts on this?

Here is a thread that discusses oil. It also has some other threads linked in there as well.

BOSS302 REGISTRYHere's another lengthy discussion on oil under the BOSS302 registry. Interesting discussion on 'TRUE' synthetics vs high quality oils w/many additives. I drop original supplied oil by 1000 miles. Been doing it for 20 years...~15 cars.

I just happened to be on the phone with my dealership.... they said the Mustang comes with Synthetic Blend.

Can anyone verify? I do not recall anyone mentioning this before on the forum. So, i have doubt. If it ain't here, it might not be true.

The owner's guide alludes to US vehicles having the synthetic blend (Ford part # XO-5W20-QSP) vs the Canadian oil spec of just the Motorcraft Super Premium(Ford # CXO-5W20-LSP12). It appears the syn blend is supplied in the US delivered vehicles.
