I also had mine welded on the car. Took it to Midas after I installed it with the clamp, they just removed the clamp and welded it tight.

Midas? I would've thought that welding an O/R pipe on a street car is a , especially by a big outfit like Midas.

Guess every place has their price.

btw- What they charge you to weld it?

$60, so it wasn't cheap.

Hey Bill. I went to a place here in Fremont and got mine welded while on the car. It is a pretty gnarly weld, but it's not a show piece. It cost me $40 just to throw it on the lift and weld it. It too took all of 15 minutes. They'll weld the "H" no problem when it's on the car, but they wouldn't swap the pipes for you because they can't "touch" your cats.

Just find a whole in the wall muffler shop like I did, should run you 20 bucks and 5 minutes, and they did it while it was on the car.
