I just bought a Predator and I really need some help. I just spent the last hour reading the same paragraph over and over again on the Diablosport website. When I plug the unit into my car to upload the performence tune it says "Vehicle not in database. Contact dealer for free update." Thenwhen I try to download the DS downloader off the Diablosport website it's not the same one in the instructions and it won't even connect to the unit. I'm really getting frustrated here and I hope someone can help. I'm going to call Diablosport on Monday but I'd hate to wait all weekend

 

Which model Predator do you have and what software revision is in the tool?

 

I have the U7140 and I just bought it from someone on the board so I don't know what the last update was. But the update file on the Diablosport website keeps giving an error message and won't upload at all.

 

When the tool boots up it states what revision is in the tool. If you have an 06 the sofware revision that is currently in the tool may not work with your CALID - hence the error message when trying to flash your vehicle. Are you following these instructions to update your tool:

Those are the directions I followed but the DSdownloader dosen't have a "update software" tab or anything about "updating software in predator"

 

This is why most people are using SCT XCal 2's.

 

I got the diablo and had to update it to work with my 06 I got the same message before I updated it. You just have to change revisions. And If I had done better research I would have went with the SCT. Live and learn.
