Occasional stall after JLT-II install and SCT tune

i got my JLT-II with SCT XCalibrator II-SF today.. and immediately ran outside to put them on

installation photo-blog:
http://www.iihs.net/blog/?action=sli...&id=1161445236

once the CAI was on, i flashed the custom tune through the XCAL2, and took her out for a spin and what a difference.. i LOVE IT!!!

my "spin" was actually on a track, and i drove her hard, all the way to 140mph, shifting around 6k RPM
on the way back, the engine stalled while i was down shifting before a speed bump, basically right while the clutch pedal was down, while i was shifting gears..
RPM went to 0, and the battery light came up.. well as i was still rolling, i shifted into 2nd gear, released the clutch and the engine came back to life..

any idea what maybe causing this?
Doug can you help please? i'm all the way in Dubai, otherwise i would have loved to take her to you :S

members of Dubai Mustang Club have the JLT, K&N and other CAI without any issues.. not to mention the weather is getting better now

my car usually has rough idling and surging issues for a few days after the PCM is cleared or the battery is disconnected.. but frequent stalling is new to me

Doug.. we need you
p.s: my XCal2-SF didn't seem to have any preloaded tunes on it.. i emailed JLT about it

sounds to me like a "dashpot" adjustment is needed. That is done in the Advantage software.

well i guess the car had to relearn the Idle again, as the problem is no longer as apparent!
i still would like to figure out my A/F Ratio, and see if there's something i can do to fine tune this baby further

Hey, I had a very similar problem with Doug's tune when I first got mine and talked to him about it. It was defintiely a tuning issue and he looked at my tune and found a problem which he promptly fixed. I have an auto, which may have some other adjustments, but that sounds a lot like what was happening to me. It would shut-off during acceleration though...Just get a phone call into doug and see what he can do.

The octane ratings on gas in dubai is not the same as USA octane ratings. 93 here is like 98 in Dubai, or something like that. Could that be the problem?
