My Honda's exhaust system took 4 years to show any rust. My Mustang's "2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless exhaust" is rusted hardcore and is even starting to flake. What the @#$! is going on?

 

Its a cheap stainless alloy. It will oxidize but it won't rot out. My daily driver Cavalier has 190,000 miles on it with the original exhaust + muffler. It isn't the best looking ezhaust but it is solid. I am guessing the same type of mat'l is used for the '05-'06

 

you aren't taking care of it properly?

 

Yeah, its not like T304 stainless or anything...
