UPDATE

Well, I just got this problem solved by going back to the dealer and having a talk with them. I told them the story and basically told them in a word that it was their fault. I called Doug from Bamachips and he was able to give me a temporary tune so I could drive my car to the dealer. The temporary tune Doug gave me was based on the new calibration code that Ford released. This is my proof that the dealer DID, without any doubt, modify the PCM. The dealer told me that the computer they use has the RCM (what they should have only touched) and the PCM buttons right next to each other on the touch screen. So they said it's possible that the technician may have pressed the wrong button. I was thinking, well, this story is coming together now.

So here's how I fixed this:

1. Returned my car to stock with my SCT programmer. (this stock tune doesn't work because it's based on the OLD calibration code)

2. Use the dealer computer to update my PCM to the stock tune which clears out the tune I just loaded in with my SCT programmer.

3. Turn key and start engine.

What a pain in the A$$ this was. I am so relieved this is solved now.

Why haven't they recalled the Stang for the gas tank fill issue?

Glad you got it taken care of. They obviously did the PCM and RCM. I had the recall completed before I got my tuner but my strategy stayed the same (Was able to cross reference the sticker on the PCM to the Strategy Code)

Good luck!

Because it's not a safety concern, just an inconvenience.

Wow, that sucks hardcore. After just reading this thread I just went to my driveway (12:20am) and checked the code and it did match, so I loaded the stock and reloaded the race tune. Fired up. I had my car at the dealer monday for a new headlight switch and they told me they took the courtesy of doing the recall.

In the back of my mind I wanted to choke them, but I was hoping they wouldn't screw w/ my PCM in the process. Luckly everything still works, I still have to take it for a road test.

I suppose that is true, until something ignites the gasoline that spits/spills out of the filler.

Nice GT-500 on the showroom floor, but they're not budging from their 10K ADM.

Glad it worked out for you Larry!!!!!!
