I'm getting a Zex kit next week and I want to see the set up some other 05 guys have. I'm getting a window switch, bottle warmer, and nitrous pressure gauge with the set up. I've been told that the Zex kit basicly incorperates a fuel pressure safety sensor in the computer. Show me what you got!

just make sure the first time you spray is on a dyno getting tuned!

Definatly, didn't even cross my mind to set up the kit myself or run it untuned. I'm leaving this to the pros.

DLC, nice set up.
I have been using the 125 hp setting, and recently melted a plug. This never happens when I run the 1/8 mile, but at the 1/4 mile track, it happened. What have you used? Have you upgraded anything on the fuel system (I was thinking boost-a-pump)? And lastly, where did you get those gauges. I was thinking of getting the a/f and fuel pressure.
Shifty: you really ought to consider installing the zex kit yourself. Its really easy, took me about 4 hours taking my time. But, as DLC and Dustindu4 has already mentioned, start at the lowest setting (75hp) and work your way up. Certainly a dynotune is in order, but don't forget the colder plugs too....autolite HT0 (zero) available at sparkplugs.com. Oh, one more thing...if you plan on racing at the track, don't forget the blow down tube.

Yeah I'm getting colder plugs too. If I had time at to install it at my house I would but I just don't have the time. And honestly I don't trust myself to do it right. What's this about a blow down tube?

Makes sense. Does a purge do anything for you performance wise or is it a looks kind of thing?

Just this last weekend I was stuck in the staging lanes for about 2 hours because one of the pro cars crashed. So during that time, I am not sure what happened to the N20, air/evaporation, etc? But point is, instead of running a 1.6X 60' like I usually do, the n20 did not hit right away, and my 60' was only 1.84. So, the purge kit can give a nitrous kit more consisent performance.

Thats cool, I respect that you know your limitations...and frankly, your right....the last thing you would want to screw up is a n20 kit.
The blown down tube is just a track safety thing...if you don't plan on going to the track then you won't need it. It basically screws onto the bottle valve with a disk inside. This disc is designed to fail at 3000 psi. That way, if for some reason your bottle gets to hot, instead of the bottle blowing up, the disc fails, and the N20 goes through the tube to the outside of the car. If you go to the Zex website under accessories, you will see it.

what kind of rear end set up and wheel tire combo you runing to get 1.6X 60' ?

4.10 gears with a 275/50/17 M&H drag radial (i love those things, they are so sticky), and of course, 125hp n20 right out of the hole. Its and automatic. I also have LCA's just to eliminate wheel hop, but I haven't really done much to the suspension yet. I want to get an adjustable UCA for starters. Oh, and I also disconnect the front sway bar for better weight transfer.

Ah sounds like a burst disc on a paintball compressed air tank. I'll ask my shop about it. I definatly run at the track a good bit. They're pretty forgiving on safety stuff though.
