Nitrous Bottle Mounting locations
Curious if anyone has any pics of their bottle mounted in the trunk and in the spare tire well?
I want to mount it inside the spare tire well on a small piece of diamond plate to keep it level, but at the same time be able to use my trunk for other stuff.
The other option is the left side of the trunk in the corner where most people put it.
I'm planning out my install carefully to maximize stealth...
Gauges in glove box on custom panel
switches in center console
bottle hidden in spare tire well
I would love bottle mounted pics to get an idea how it goes inside. (kit is on order)

thanks for the link to his setup.
I'm going to PM him but do you know if he's able to drop the carpet cover over top and use the cargo space? It appears that his bottles valve might be too high and the blowdown tube too high...
hmmmm

Well if I ever Do nitrous I would love to put the bottles up hanging from the deck lid. I am sure one could build some sort of framing or bracketry to mount them up high. If you can weld and got steel I am sure you could do something.,Speakers and amp down low, and still have your spare.

True, never thought of that...
I do like the spare tire well the best.
One guy sent me a pic of his in a duffle bag that he cut and modded.. so it looks like just a bag next to his sub.

The valves and blowdown tube would prevent the cardboard/carpet lid from going back over the spare tire well. When you mount the bottles at an angle (as they should be) the valves/tubes stick up 3-4 inches above the well. You could cut the spare tire lid to retain most of your storage/trunk space, by just cutting enough of the cover away to allow your valves/tubes to stick out leaving the lower portion of the bottles covered....Just a thought...

So basically I'm stuck mounting it on the side of the trunk. I thought i saw a post on a site that had the bottle below and he was able to use his trunk.
His bottle was probably laying more flat than desired...
I might just do the gym bag thing. I have a really nice bag from work that I could modify and put over the bottle.
I could possibly go with two small 5lb bottles and THOSE might fit under the spare tire well better?
This whole stealth thing when your trunk is 2 square feet big is hard... (ok so not 2sq feet but it feels like it)
