New Tires for my DD

With Old Man Winter not too far away, I am getting ready to pull the trigger for some new shoes for Mustang Sally. I am going with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's. I liked the BFG's that Sally was born with, but after researching, the Michelins just look too good. I know Michelins are pricey, but I think tires are the single most important component on the car, and you get what you pay for. Anybody driving on these 235 50 ZR18 Michelins? If so, how do you like them?

I've heard,"if you have a $10.00 head buy a $10.00 helmet".Never sell yourself short on safety, same thing applies to good performance equipment.Good choice on tires

I personally would go for the new Goodyear tire thats out now.
Eagle F1 All season. Has carbon fiber in the sidewalls for more precise handling and is made for all year round use.

Haha.

I would also recommend going to size 255/45/18. A much better fitment for the GT. The 235/50's just seem to narrow.

After buying two new cars with the dreaded "Gatorbacks" tires, I think I'll take a pass on any more Goodyears. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Heh, Ill be the 1st to say those gatorbacks sucked.
Big difference in the F1 line of tires. Everyone makes a bad line of tires now and then. heck I think those came out in the late 80's early 90's. Thats old technology.

I haven't run the PS A/S's on my 07, but I ran 255/45R17's on my 02, very very good tires, never had a problem with them in the snow, plus I averaged about 35k on each set with failry aggressive driving. You should notice an improvement in ride if your runnning the BFG KDWS's currently. They also make the the PS A/S in a 255/45R18 if your interested in a handling upgrade (adds about an inch of rubber to the ground per tire).
