New SCT Tuner Question
Actually two questions I guess. I bought the Steeda CAI and Tuner package from Brent at Brenspeed (Can't recommend him enough!).
1) If I want to try a Bama tune or two from Doug, is there a way to save the Brenspeed tunes on my PC and reload them later? My PC is recognizing the SCT, but I can't figure out if or how I can back up the tunes.
2) If I want to try a 93 octane tune, is there an additive I can safely add to the premium 91 octane gas that is only available here in town?
thanks,
mitch

I can only answer #2, NO. The octane boosters are not good for the spark plugs and injectors. I've had several sets of plugs ruined by additives in previous cars. None that I am aware of are totally safe for modern engines.

Unfortunately, no. You cannot download a tune from the SCT to your computer.. you can only do it the other way around. (I think I learned that from TacoBill's how-to thread on tune uploading). I think your only solution is to see if Brenspeed will e-mail your tunes to you as backup and have bamachips do the same when you get order them. This was you rotate what tunes you have on the SCT. I have not done this so I'm not really sure what brenspeed's or bamachip's policy is on this.
