I don't see a problem here. Nice runs Jan.

Point takin Blazing Saddles!! Everything I use to calculate it shows about the same.. Looking at the numbers, on face value, it appears more is left.. But using calculators all shows, Jan's pretty much done..

Ok, I'll agree with everyone Jan.. There is no hope.. Give up! LOL!! Thats what they want us to say Jan! I say no! Who cares what these darn calculators say! I know you can run a 11.85ET @ 117MPH.. You can do it! Just do it!!

@Jan

Are you still using the stock injectors in your car?

Run your injectors through this tool, setting it to Nitrous.. It shows you should be running a minimum of 30Lbs injectors..

http://www.mustangworks.com/analyzer.html

Just scroll down, and you will see "Fuel System Analyzer".. Now notice on this, if you set it to 406 HP N/A, you can use a 24 lbs injector.. But set it to Nitrous, and it suggest 30Lbs..

This shows that you guys if still using the stock 19lb injectors, need an upgrade also.. This is most likley the fuel starvation people have discussed..

http://www.summitracing.com/landing/mustan...E1B24%7D&Type=5

•5.0L passenger (302), port EFI: 14 lbs./hr.
•5.0L HO and truck (302), port EFI: 19 lbs./hr.
•4.6L SOHC (Mustang GT), port EFI: 19 lbs./hr.
•4.6L DOHC (Mustang Cobra), port EFI: 24 lbs./hr.
•5.7L truck (351W), port EFI: 19 lbs./hr.
•7.4L truck (460), port EFI: 28 lbs./hr.

Just info here, but we are running 11.80's with 125hp shot and stock gears, our trap speeds are consistently 111mph. Our particular instance is due to 3rd gear bogging at high RPM on the bottle, the car is puffing black smoke and the plugs show a lot of carbon deposits. Just a thought here but the trap speeds could be related to the tuning/fuel adjustments or even bottle pressure with the nitrous

Are you using the stock 19lbs injectors dhof303? Nice times by the way!

Also, with using the 3.55's, I can understand the 111mph trap speed..

Yes, for now. I have 39# injectors from an 04 Cobra I got off e-bay for $120.00, they only have about 2000 miles on them. I am placing a deposit on a turbo kit tomorrow morning and they have told me it should be finished in 2 weeks.

Based on your numbers, which appear to make sense max2000jp, let me show you what happens as a shift from 3rd to 4th happens in a 2005 Mustang GT while on the juice with a 125Shot..

This is the number, the car starts out with, with a 125SHOT of Zex when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear..

3rd to 4th gear shift, and TQ applied instantly @ WOT with 125Shot..

520Ft Lbs. @ 4500RPM WOT 125Shot Zex system..

Now this number tapers off as the rpm rise, but this is what is applied after making the 3rd to 4th shift.. This is how much TQ, all things combined must be able to handle instantaneously after the shift, to finish out the run.. I submit to you my good man max2000jp, a 2005 Mustang GT must stick to the track after this shift, in order to run a 117MPH trap speed..

Also, this is for all GT's.. A GT with 3.55's wont have too much problem sticking.. Add 4.10's and all bets are off.. Better bring your "A" game to the 1/8th mile 3rd to 4th shift when on the juice with a 125Shot of nitrous!..

So your 111MPH runs, with the juice was using the stock 19lbs injectors.. This is the problem.. You will be in real good shape with the 39Lbs injectors.. Alot of guys seem to be running up the juice, but leaving the stock injectors.. I guess its ok, as long as they know what to expect.. I would think at a minimum they would grab some 30lbs injectors, because they only range in price from $39ea, to about $50ea.. I guess thats another $400 bucks though.. Most will try and squeak by..

What fuel pump are you upgrading to 255LPH?

Threads sometime have a way of evolving.. This thread started out praising Jan for his entry into the 11 sec club.. Hopefully, when its all done some problems can be talked about and worked out like dhof303 is involving himself to do.. Why be happy with 11 sec, when the goal should be to try and be faster the next time you go to the track.. Its called evolution..

I have too much fuel at high rpm in 3rd gear, my car is running too rich, we are seeing black smoke and carbon covered plugs with the stock injectors. As for the fuel pump I will be leaving it stock until I have tuned the car past 6lbs of boost. There is no solution to the upgraded fuel pump issue on the returnless system to date as I have been researching all week. The only option other than a boost-a-pump device is placing a 255lph return-style pump in the car with unknown long term results.

Dhof303, I too am running rich as was proven on the dyno with a solid 11:1 A/F all the way up to 6800rpm. My plugs actually look ok after those runs, basically the same color as the plugs I pulled out from running n/a. Like I said I will lighten the front of the car up but I dont think I will be doing anything such as the bmr radiator support or anything that is drag racing limited. This is my daily driver and I like having sway bars on all the time-My plans are to move the battery, remove sway bar for the track and I would like to put the stock wheels and tires on the front but my brakes wont allow it.

My tuner and I aren't quite sure what do about this, is your car running rich in all gears or just in 3rd/4th at 6800? I would like to lean the car out but I don't want 1st/2nd gear to get to lean, for the mean time I have decreased to a 75hp shot and can still click off upper 11's.

Gee...........Another 05 into the 11,s with N20.And how many supercharged 05,s here are in the 11,s???????Its funny how the poll says superchrged all the way but none are posting anygood times.
Look at this thread: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=39470

With a KB, he posted better times than any of the NO2 boosted cars have done. 11.36 @ 125.

That was with a lot of wheelspin as well.

I see. That's cool. However, the car was already running 11.90 without nitrous, so it must have some serious mods.

I wouldn't be suprised if you have more mods than the car with the KB. Anyway, I guess it doesn't really matter. You both have fast cars.
