I've wanted to learn how to drive stick for awhile now, but I don't know anyone who has one to practice on. And the only reason I wouldn't buy a stick w/o driving one first is because I might not like it(I do a lot of city driving).

When I went to Korea in 1997 to work with the Army AH-64 Apache's, the first thing I bought was a new 96 GT with a 5-speed.. Anyone who has ever spent time in Korea knows what real traffic problems are, it is unbelievable how bad it can get.

If you drive in the city where you are long periods of time in bumper to bumper, stop and go conditions, you would be better served with an auto. It's not like the older models where the clutch was really stiff, but even with a relatively light clutch, it still gets old having to push the clutch down, let it out, push it down again.....

I did it for seven years in Korea and I still have a left leg and it even works right most of the time...
