New Bama Race tune.

I had Chris Rose send me an updated Race tune and I am happy with the results. It doesn't have the snappy throttle of the previous race tune so that may be a good or bad thing. I find this tune easier to drive in parking lots and other areas of stop and go. When you step on the peddle it's more aggressive than the previous race tune. It pulls in all RPM ranges.

I wonder if the updated race tune is pretty similar to the "all-out" tune that CR was doing for TillmanSpeed.

According to Chris it is supposed to be more aggressive than the all out tune.

Thanks for the tip I PMd Chris about the tune update. I love the race tune only complaint was the difficult in parking lots.

Power is still there, aerodynamics aren't.

The S197 mustangs have a HUGE frontal area. We push a lot of air.

I love the 93 Race tune from Bama but I feel I could use a wider tire so as not to spin so much !

I really like how crisp the "old" race tunes are. Never thought that was a problem. In auto-crossing events blipping the throttle is instantaneous. It is one thing you gotta get used to, I agree. My dad unintentionally drives it sloppy in traffic and low speed takeoffs. Pretty hilarious
Thanks for the heads up, that's something I wouldn't want to lose when I get an update tune after a few more mods.

In first gear, in a parking lot, it can take a steady throttle. I sometimes start in 2nd gear instead when I know its going to want to really go.

The All Out is not hard to DD, even in traffic.

This new race tune is not hard as a DD either. The previous race tune was a little bit of a hassle especially with 4.10s. In parking lots I drove in 2nd. In traffic I would also start in 2nd a majority of the time.

I think I would be using 2nd for that too if I had 4.10s. I am tempted to with the 3.73s and its doable. But not quite. I want to be easier on my clutch.
