Need suspension advice

I don't want to lower my car, but I do want a little increase in handling capability and anti-dive ability, without any decrease in ride quality. I don't take my car to the track, but I do like to run the twisties once in a while on Sunday morning. I don't push it to the limit, since I'm on public highways, but I do drive aggressively. I have the Shelby 18" wheel and tire package on my car.

With that in mind, what do you recommend for suspension mods? I was thinking of the rear Addco sway bar upgrade, Steeda HD front strut mounts, and a Monte Carlo bar. Any thoughts?

Also, I read on Steeda's site that the stock SN197 platform sits slightly higher in the rear than in the front. Does anyone make just a rear spring kit to bring the car to level?

Well... I would go with poly bushing LCA's and UCA, non-adjustable if you aren't going to lower it. I would also go with sub-frame connectors for added stiffness. The sway bars will help some, but won't perform 100% without other changes.

You will never have a real corner carver until you lower the cars center of gravity (lowering springs) and to have good ride quality with a lowered chassis you need shorter shocks and struts (FRPP Stg 3, Bilsteins, Koni, etc.).

It's like a bottomless pit... once you start there is always something else that will make it even better..

Based on what you described, just get the Tokio D Spec's for all four corners, and then get a balanced front and rear sway bar set, don't just do the rear or the front. Poly bushings will tighten everything up, but for a daily driver you may not enjoy the harshness that comes along with that.

Steeda (and others?) seem to be willing to just sell the rear springs, only problem with that solution is it increases the rear roll stiffness and will affect the balance of the car. In that instance leaving a stock sway bar on the rear might be better.

i have the steeda hd upper strut mounts, but i doubt you would see any benefit with what you have in mind.

if you want to just drop the rear a bit, maybe you can consider the roush rear springs?
