need help with a used sct2 tuner
need help with a used sct2 tuner
a friend of mine gave me his tuner because he was trading in his mustang. i just got the 3 new custom tunes from brenspeed and was happy as a pig in ****. now it looks like my idiot friend DIDNT set his car back to stock. i DID watch his do it and he did have the C&L street CAI on there so if he didnt set it back to stock, and had the custom tune installed with the stock airbox, the car most likely would have had the check engine light come on or something else. when i plug the tuner into my computer and open liveload, on the bottom it says XCal2, v1.14. State:Locked Prog:Stock. Reading Device...
is there a way to unlock it without having to plug it into the car. the downside to this is that the car was already traded in. am i up ***** creek with this one? i know he returned the car back to the stock tune because i stood over him and watched him do it. i cant even get to the main menu on the tuner itself.

i cannot believe the response time on TMS. it seems like i was using an older version of liveload that did not have the "unlock" button on the bottom right. i just got the latest version and hit that sweet sweet unlock button. looks like my friend DID turn his car back to stock. thank GOD
uploading the new tunes to the xcal2 as we speak.
i also found out that with newer sct2 models, i guess with the newer software, there is no longer a Main Menu. the main menu is now the Program Vehicle menu
