I'm not sure an underdrive crank pulley is a good idea on a SC'ed car.

That's what I'm getting to....I'm gonna SC it within a year. so if it isn't a good idea, I won't spend (waste) money on the UDP's...

If you are going to Supercharge the car later dont put on the UDP's they will underdrive the Sc and you will be running less boost and not make good power

I've thought about this. I realize UDPs will decrease the boost for any given pulley, but at the same time there are several different pullies available for any given supercharger. I was wondering if you installed a SC with say a 15# pulley w/ UPDs, will that end up providing something like 8# of boost???

Actually, on second thought, UDPs underdrive by 25% I think I read somewhere, so maybe a 15# pulley would provide like 11#s of boost?? Does that make sense?

Once a SC goes on, who cares about the 5hp or so the remaining pullies "might" provide. Stick with a stock diameter crank pulley, and utilize all the boost the blower pulley will provide. It will also keep your water pump and alternator working at the proper rates.

I was just thinking about for the sake of being lazy and worried about jacking w/ the Crank Bolt AGAIN to take the UDPs off. But your right, no sense throwing off everything. I've taken that bolt out twice now, once more could hurt. <<crosses fingers>>
