Are my stripes ever gonna be done?
I am sitting in the 3rd week without my car after dropping it off at the paint shop to have (2) 10" white Shelby stripes painted in and cleared over. They are 2" apart and run the full length of the car. Painter let me know tonight that it will be complete tomorrow and available for pickup on Thurs. We will see....

3 weeks is a long time, especially when it's a car you own that's in a shop.

That's the price you pay for having a friend do it for you unestimated. He's probably going to do it at cost. That means means paying work (something he's going to make a profit on) will get top billing.

I am having mine done in 3 weeks. I got an estimate here in Atlanta at a custom paint shop, they want 1650 and 6 days (including a weekend) to have the job done. I also had other estimates taht were as low as 850, but they seemed like they were going to be cutting corners, only 1 coat of clear etc, so I went with the pricier solution. You get what you pay for!
It will be 2 11" stripes with a 1.5" gap between em. Black stripes on Legend Lime, should be sweet!

Yep...had my friend do my wood fence...took 3 weeks (had to wait till he had a slow day)...but I got it for HALF price....anyone who has priced an 8 foot tall privacy fence that's 360 feet long with 3 gates will know what I mean...
So...give the friend some slack....if he's doing it cheap enough....
