My delete plate day....
Started at 12:15
Everything was going as planned, then I could not find my deep well 10mm socket...I flipped the fuel rails over to the passenger side ,intake off 30 minutes top..Switch over the gaskets after removing the plates.Intake going back on 45 minutes completely back to gether except the TB plug in hour..........I plugg it in and it pops back out WTF the little plastic keeper broke off. What to do?I put a dap of RTV on the outside and around the outer socket.I load my tune in wash the ride Rtv is pretty sticky plugg will not move at all...whew..I fire her up let her run at idle for a few, then I take off and stall. Now what..I check all of my hoses good and tight.Try it again and stallNow I begin to worry then I check the mass air sensor ..did not seat but was in place.I push it in and I see the check engine light.I assume it was because of running the motor with it unplugged, even though it only ran for about 45 seconds.I pull over clear the codes and take her down my "strip"about a 2 mile run with farmland on both sides..I get on her and holy shift it does not fall on it's face at any RPM and pulls like a raped ape..I love Dougs tunes.......ps My ws6 buddy drove the car and said the lateral power is amazing. This coming from a LS1 owner.

New threads about the CMCV deletes keep popping up, they look like a great deal. Decent horsepower gain for a REALLY good price... Me want now! It's hard trying to limit your mods per month!

Already have the delete plates from D'Agostino and just sent Doug some money for a SCT II and C&L Racer. I have read the delete plate installation instructions and it seems pretty easy. Only question I have is how do the fuel rails come off... do you just unbolt and pull up or do you need any special tools?

Thanks... Hopefully Doug's stuff gets here before Friday as next week is my short week... I only work We/Th. Now to do enough reading about UDP's to gain the confidence to do this myself without help.

yeah i remember when my car reset itself the tune was returned to normal and i drove the car for a very few miles and it felt like the car was towing an expensive speed boat, i pulled over on the side of the road and retuned the car and everything was back to normal, sometimes i think i left the boat on the side of the road LOL. same thing will happen (the boat feeling) if you do not get a custom tune

I put my delete plates on yesterday. It took me about 60 minutes total. The only problem I had was the large hose on the top of the intake. Looks like some kind of fuel vent something or other. Not the PCV one, but the one just above it. I for the life of me could not figure out the clip. It has a white clip that goes in it. I tried just popping it up, but no go. I even ended up breaking the white clip, but still could not get it off. I just left it on and flipped the intake over. Changed out the plates while it was flipped, then reversed everything. Loaded up my tune and let it rip. Pretty easy to do actually. I'm not sure I really felt too much of a difference. Maybe a suttle one if any at all, but I figure for 96.00 and 1 hour of time if it even makes 5 rwhp of a difference I will be happy. I just got 3.73's put in last week, so I am still feeling the difference in those, could be why it's hard to see if these made any difference. I still recommend them wholeheartedly though.
