Mount Shaker to FRPP Manifold
Hi,
Has anyone on this forum mounted the Shaker scoop on the 05-09 FRPP Intake Manifold. Supposedly there are a couple guys in Michigan at the Mustang Memories show in Dearborn that did it, but I just found out about it today. I had the FROO manifold but wanted to do the shaker scoop and removed it for the factory intake. I really would like to put back the FRPP manifold instead of selling it and losing money.

Yes, the shaker will fit. You will need to do some cutting, the shaker has lots of unnessary plastic that needs to be removed.
I'm only using the top half of the shaker, don't know if you've seen the Saleen shaker but that's what you wants your to look like after you cut the lower shroud away from the shaker.
I only used the two throttle body mounting bolts. the (1) rear mounting tab can't be used w / this adaptation. I fabed a small gasket / mounting plate to fit the back side (took shaker completely apart) of the shaker for structural stability, since I'm only using two connecting points instead of the recommended (3), which was (overkill) once the shaker is trimmed it's near weightless and could most likely be mounted w/ 3/m (very light)
My car sees triple digits at least once a week and the shaker is fine, it does still shake, but That's due to the cams.

I have mine Shaker shroud pretty much trimmed back except for the air inlet, but that is very easy to trim away.
Would you be able to post or send me some pics of the hood closed and when open? I want to get this done, as I have the FRPP manifold just sitting in my crawl space and would rather put it on.
Thanks,
Sean
