Like on a motor cycle when you let off the gas the motor slows down .But my motor feels like it has a high idle when shifting . Is the Normal.

That used to bug me but ever since I got my cai/tune and I took off my cat's it went away

 

It's pretty normal assuming your car is stock. If you ever add a tune, it will be much better.

I remember someone saying that it was to help burn up the unused gas or something like that. With a tune I think they can get rid of some of that.

 

It's normal. It's partially due to an emission "thing"- Eco sensor, re-circulated unspent gas... A tune will definitely help

 

Hey Steel (off topic)...did you notice your cold idle is higher with the Bamachips/JLT combo? Mine seems higher and the warm idle does too...i'm at 1Krpm's idle and I thought stock was closer to 800rpm's?

 

It's hard to tell... The weather turned colder once install. Yeah, it does seem to idle a little higher when cold, but levels out once warm.

 

Yes it's true and yet another reason why Ford programmed the throttle delay was also to cut down on warranty costs thanks to us enthusiasts who like sprited driving to it's limits ie power shifting.. lol.. but a good tune will almost eliminate the throttle lag issue completely.. As for the higher RPM idle concerns ? I would recommend the best person to ask about this is Doug....

Yes Pat, I just ordered the Race tune today so I assume that by the time Doug has the chance to write it up and then send it out ? I'll more than likely get it just before New Year's Eve..but of course by then ? will more than likely end up getting slammed with a snowstorm in fact it's very unusual that we haven't had any snow at all yet so just maybe I might get lucky enough to try it out before putting the Stang away for the winter lol. anyway hope all is well with you and the family and wish you all a very Merry Chirstmas and a safe and happy New Year...
