Doing my usual searches and came across a new THROTTLE BODY!

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gtmace.htm

PRICE: $499.95

MOTOBLUE CNC BILLET TWIN 62MM THROTTLE BODY FOR THE 2005 MUSTANG GT

If you want to find the true potential of your Mustang 4.6L 3 valve engine you're going to have to feed it some air. The new MOTOBLUE CNC billet throttle body will completely change the way your car feels and performs. You will not only experience a snappy throttle response and improved air induction but you will also gain 10 to 12 RWHP gain.

MOTOBLUE Twin 62mm billet aluminum throttle body is machined to exact tolerance thus making the throttle response ultra smooth from idle to wide open throttle. The linkage mechanism and twin 62mm butterflies are machined from virgin brass providing a precise fit and function. It also has larger than stock sealed bearings for smooth action.

Installation is fast and simple taking only 10 minutes. Fits 2005 5-speed & automatic vehicles.

05 GT MOTOBLUE Throttle Body Feature:

- 4130 High strength Chrome Molly shaft.

- Ultra thin throttle plate to maximize air flow.

- CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum.

- Linkage is machined from virgin brass for a precise fit and longevity.

- Units are designed as a direct-replacement and require no additional modifications.

- Includes detailed instructions and all necessary installation hardware. No additional fabrication required!

I like it, but for $500 I think I'll look at 4.10s for the rear...at least for now.

A couple of people at that other site already have throttle bodies on. They are using Central Coast Motorsports's twin 60mm throttle body. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?...75&page=1&pp=25

California Mustang has the BBK 62 for $295. But they say their "out of stock, but are due to be in on the 29th". Sounds like BS to me. The "held desk" guy on the phone couldn't answer any technical questions. :notnice:

If you got the money to blow, buy it. Hopefully they will hold up the price and you save another $50

This thing looks sweet, but the price is steep. I might consider at $350, but not $500.
