Well here are some pics. Pretty crappy because it is dark outside so I had to take these in the garage. You will see how the pipe rests on the power steering fluid reservoir.

Hopefully the MMR setup will be secure.

You lost me on this one. Not sure what you are talking about. My car has already been tuned and adding this intake pipe does not change anything.

Runs fine. I go over some nasty train tracks everyday. The pipe has not come loose at all. However, the lovely paint job is scratched where it rubs against the power steering reservoir. If I try to raise it up it sits to high and is rubbing against the inside of the hood. If they only made the pipe 2" longer the air filter still could have been bolted in place.

Can you come up with some kind of dense foam with adheasive backing to put on the pipe to keep it from rubbing the cap? First thing that comes to mind is the foam supplied with high volume aquarium pumps. It is a dense closed cell foam almost the consistancy of neoprene.
When I was running the stock air intake I isolated it from the lower radiator hose with a piece of A/C line insulation. A piece of something like that might work also.

Doc, that is a good idea. I just so happen to have foam like that since I have a few aquariums. I should be able to figure out a way to attach it. I'll be removing the parts next weekend to paint them the same colour as the car. I will figure something out then.

I got my MMR high-flow tube yesterday afternoon and installed it. I can feel a difference in seat-of-the-pants feel (I'm guessing 5-10 HP) and I can even hear that the engine is louder under hard acceleration.
I also have the same problem though of it touching the PSF reservoir. I'll have to see what I can rig up this weekend. I also need to take off the intake tube, sand it and repaint it. In MMR's rush to get these out so fast, they must have put the tube in the box before the paint had completely dried and there are pieces of the brown wrapping paper attached to the paint that won't come off. But, I needed to paint the MAF housing black anyway, since it came red.
Overall, I am very pleased.
