mid pipe screwed up alignment with axel pipe?
Alright well the weather was finally warm enough to get under the car to put my midpipe on but I couldn't get the passender top bolt off so I put everything back together (got dark). I had already taken the pipe apart down by the H.
When I put it back together everything seemed fine but I noticed a knocking today. I look and see my passenger muffler (flowmasters) was very very loose. the notch on the axel pipe was about 2 inches away from the where it meets the end of the groove on the muffler. Slid together but not really together.
So I figured a loose bracket. Well, I get home, dark now, and crawl under to bolt that baby back and I cant get it to slide all the way, it won't really move much. It's not tight just no length it seems for either pipe to move much.
The drivers side had moved also and was kinda loose but it only moved like a 1/4".
So I'm guessing I yanked the heck out of the pipe and did something while doing the mid pipe.
When I put the midpipe back I just slid the two pipes together, and put the bracket on.
Now before I start taking everything apart again I just want to make sure the midpipe and over-axel pipe are suppose to be touching inside the clamp, correct?
Just figured someone else might have had this problem and could save me a little time before I crawl back under tommorrow and just start yanking on stuff.
thx

as I remember the pypes H and the stock axel pipes come together, but not inside one another.... then the clamp goes over both and you should be good.

yeah but they touch?
