Hey MGW shifter owners... I have sent two flat handle sketches to George at MGW for his consideration..

Here are four (4) sketches of the ideas I had for a simple flat handle for the MGW shifter... I designed these handles so that George could use the same size bar stock and other assembly parts as his current handles, this will save him money in production and you and I money at the retail price.

The handles are the same overall length as the current handles, but the boot adapter on the 3/8-16 handle has been lowered approx. 1/2" to allow additional flat handle height to the thread.... which would decrease the height adjustment by the same amount. I also suggested that an additional 3/4" be added to the handle length from the boot adapter to the thread for a little more leverage and flat handle length.

I'm not revealing the two sketches that I submitted to George... I want to know which of the handles you would buy if any.

Voted #2, although I probably wouldn't purchase any of them because I prefer the boot to cover the handle and only expose the **** itself. But, that's just me..... nice sketches.

 

I voted for #4, but #2 would be great too if I could get a MGW white shift **** for it also.

Gotta say # 2 looks the most appealing to me. I dont have an MGW shifter but I like the look. If I ever change from my Tri-Ax I would like this handle.

 

how bout a new automatic shifter? please oh please mgw.

 

Where are all the MGW owners..???

There are over 100 of us out here and everyone has been pretty vocal about our great shifter in the past. I really thought more of you'all would express an opinion here.

Come on gang.... do your American duty and VOTE....!!!!

Or at least express what you don't like or give us your comments. As I originally stated, I tried to design something simple that George could produce without having much additional cost.. They're definately not on the par with what George could come up with and I know that.

I really like the #2 version. I'd buy one.

 

I voted for #2 and I'd put my black 8 ball. Is it any longer than stock?

 

The sketches were based on the stock height, but I suggested to George that they might be better received if the handle was about 3/4" longer.

George will determine the size and shape of the handle, if he decides to make up one from the sketches.. That's why I would like to see more MGW owners making comments and voting on this poll.

I was hoping for a better response to this poll.... only 20% of the owners jumping in here is disappointing.

This is the last post I'm going to make to this poll to try and keep it on the first page of the forum where it will be seen.. I'm going to post on the MGW thread, hoping a few more might see the poll.

Sorry George... I really thought there would be better participation for the flat handle.

I voted for #2 but I do also like number 4 as well.

 

Voted #2 and I will be putting a MGW on my 08 if it ever comes in!
