Mechanical NItrous Gauge
Im in the process of ordering up everything i need to have a nice safe nitrous set-up. Im looking at gauges and see mechanical and electric. I get how electric works but how would u hook up a mechanical Nitrous guage in an A pillar or the SOS gauge and switch panel in the cup holder? Does that mean running hoses to the gauge?

Mechanical nitrous gauge requires you to tap into the nitrous line somewhere and run a nitrous line into the cabin and attach to the gauge, electrical has a nice sender unit that reads the pressure and sends it to the gauge. I wouldnt do a mechanical nitrous gauge. I've done it in the past and that was just one more place a leak could occur.
I went with electrical this time around and it's sooo nice. You run the little wire harness (two wires) through the firewall and plug it into the nitrous sender and your done.
I think it's much cleaner of an install but either will work and a mech. gauge will save you some cash. I just prefer a couple wires i guess.

Could you see a leak with a mechanical and as you start laughing from the N2o maybe theres a way out of a speeding ticket, or would one get nailed for just having it ? definatley do not need the leaks.

Most automotive grade nitrous has a little sulfur mixed in so you don't take to inhaling that stuff and kill yourself. Other than smell and slowly drain your line/tank over time... you wont notice anything.
it's more convenient to get electrical... one less line to worry about.
