Matte or Gloss black 12" stripes?

Pulling the trigger tomorrow after getting some input from you guys.

My friend Rob showed me a website where he got his, so i'm going to order from there. I also hope he will have time to help me put them on.
http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/stripe.htm#05pre

Decided to get some stripes for my stang.

I have a small square pattern of scratches from some ******* at a carwash that hit my car and I didn't notice till I was gone for a couple hours. (a month ago)... and was going to cover up the majority of it with these stripes and then just paint pen the part that sticks out.

It can't be buffed out, I already checked with some buffing experts.

Color of car is Vista Blue
Rim color is Black (gloss finish) w/ machined lip (bullets)

In keeping with some sort of color coordination and future rear window anodized louver... black is in order.

Gloss black to match the rims but will it overpower the vista blue and look out of place.....???

Matte finish, more low key, still black but not as shiny as rims....

??

I will order these tomorrow after I ensure that I stil have a job after chewing out the parking ****'s in my building.

I agree, good choice.

I have some tips in my 'How-To' section on installing the vinyl stripes. To be honest, of all the mods I've done, the stripes took the longest, around 10 hours spread over 2 days. Key is to not rush it and take your time.

wow... 10 hours....

i thought it was a 10 minute job... hahahahhahah j/k

i'll check your tips. I have a buddy that did his and turned out good.

I dont mind taking my time, hell i have other installs still in work on the stang now.

I wonder what the car will look like with the stripes and the louvers?

and some tint on the windows....

Could you have really made a wrong decision? Gloss black looks sick. And even in Matte black it looks sick like the Cervinis cars with the splitters shown. Post pics after install.

I went with paint because I couldn't seem to find black stripes shinny enough for me.

How much was the paint job on the stripes?

I've heard high quotes from people that wanted them painted on...

Looked around for quite awhile before I found someone that was in my ballpark. I paid $1500 and the job isn't perfect! Most places wanted between $2700 to 3000 to do it. It depends on where you live and how much overhead the shop has. I had a small town shop do mine but he said he would never do it again for $1500.
