Ok, I had this system installed today. It was really quiet as first, but as the cats are breaking in it's been getting a wee bit louder. Im expecting the volume to raise as the muffler break in too.

There's a definite SOTP difference in power, quite noticable, and no CEL light. We'll confirm if the A/F is safe like magnaflow states when I get a dyno tomorrow. I'll be sure to post results here.

For people who have either the magnaflow or magnapack mufflers, lets say im still not satisfied with the volume after the mufflers and stuff break in. Is it possible to just swap the magnapacks in for the magnaflows, changing only the mufflers?

I really like the tone and sound, and the performance definitely seems there, but the volume could be a bit louder. THe same exact setup was much louder on my old 02 GT.

Actually I'm glad to hear that. The Magnaflow catback sounds good but is quiet and I wanted to add the X pipe to see if it would liven up a bit. I just didn't want it to loud, so it sounds like this may be the answer.

Thanks Mike

Hey Jeff - this is definitely a hot topic. I had Magnaflows and exchanged them for Magnapaks. Yes, you can directly change them out (mufflers only) as they will fit right on the catback pipes.

I love the Magnapaks - very nice sound, especially at WOT. They don't even compare to the Magnaflows. I even think they are getting louder with the more miles I put on.

There is a Magnapaks video around here. Really the video gives the Magnpaks no justice but it still sounds good on the video. Do a search to check it out.

Good luck.

How much are just the magnapacks by themselves? And where can you find them? I *may* go this route if it doesnt get a bit louder in 1500 miles or so. I really love the magnaflows, actually they are starting to sound really good most of the time, b ut they dont sound as mean WOT as I would like, in fact they seem quieter at WOT then half throttle /shrug.

Magnaflow Catted X Pipe is definitely a good piece though.

Attached are the new Dyno sheets from a Dynojet dyno. I was a bit dissapointed by the numbers, because some people are getting 275rwhp stock! I was 255rwhp/271rwtq stock so it was a nice gain from the Magnaflow Xpipe and Catback. I also attached my A/F chart because I want to see if you guys felt my A/F was safe. It looks good to me accept under 2000 RPM.

Also, I might be able to get a little bit more out of the pipe because it SOUNDS like I have an exhaust leak, ill be looking into that soon. Overall im impressed with the pieces, not that impressed with my own dyno #'s =) BUT, it does look like with the xpipe/ catback, CAI and TUNE 300rwhp should pretty much be possible on all cars, which is sweeeet.

So you gained 12 whp, nice! I was told that an off-road x-pipe is good for 12-15 whp. I should be near 300 when I install my Mak.
