Magnapack = louder. But that's only for the catback, not the xpipe.

I know pretty much any intake mod on these cars requires a tune, but what about exhaust?

X-pipe + Catback = tune required?

If you think about it...the exhaust is just another part of the airflow process...so yes a tune is needed....

Nino... any idea of when the Magnaflow off-road x-pipe will be available and if it will be any less than the catted version?

Well Im no expert by any means, but through experience I have learned that off road pipes are significantly cheaper than the catted versions...

I've ordered the "X" pipes with high flow cats!! Can't wait, can't wait.....IIRC Nino has the "X" pipe w/o cats priced on his web site as well - if not check out brothers performance cause I did see them recently on one of those sites. By the way - Nino gave me the best price and since he's not in CA - I didn't have to pay taxes either!

Nino doesn't have it on his site yet, but it's listed for $310 on Brothers Performance. If it had been more like $200, I might have gotten it, but at this point I think I will core out my stock cats to have that off-road pipe sound/airflow. There are no emissions tests in my state, and if I have to get cats one day because they start testing, I'd rather spend $100-$200 then than $300+ now. I personally like the sound of an H-pipe over an X-pipe anyway.

Ian - shop Nino - he will beat anyone's price - I saved $60.00 over Brothers Performance (they were willing to match Nino's price - but being in Cali - I would have had to pay taxes with Brothers)....Nino may be able to get you close to the $200 and you can save your stock cats (in case).

Good Luck

Nino - thanks - can't believe the X pipes were delivered already!! I just ordered them this Monday and didn't think Magnaflow was even shipping them yet - and here they are 2 1/2 days later - excellent service.

Hotlap- thanks for the advice. And Nino- please send me a PM and let me know if you can get close to $200 for the off-road x-pipe and how much HP Magnaflow says that their off-road x-pipe adds. You have until 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Because that's when I plan to gut out my cats.
