I had MAC on my older mustang 96 gt, and that car sounded awesome! I have heard the powerflos that were on a 05 gt at a local show, sounded pretty good. I have flowmasters axleback and I love em. I am more of a Flowmaster Mac sound type of guy.

I would go with the MAC's or the Flowmasters. Probably the MAC's. They're great sounding IMHO.

We have the Axle-Backs for cheap! Give me a shout!

Ask yourself what motor is under your cars hood, and take a wild guess as to what it would sound like.

 

another suggestion, for you to try. you can go to www.youtube.com, and type in 2006 mustang flowmaster, 2006 mustang MAC, 2006 mustang SLP etc etc and I am pretty sure a video clip of the car will be on there, just to give you an idea what they sound like.

oh and by the way, I was very close to getting the MAC system but the wife said, "whatever you do dont put those mufflers on that were on the black convertible" (96 gt). one of the key reasons why I went with flowmaster. The flowmasters sound great,dont get me wrong but if I was to do it again, I would go MAC. All I can tell you is that everyone complemented me on the sound of that car.

Who cares about drone its a mustang, Macs FTW!

 

Can't understand why Flowmaster can't make a muffler that sounds like FLOWMASTERS for the 05-up Mustang. Has an X-pipe type sound to it.

I think the MACs sound pretty good, but JBAs are my favorite. Sound more Flowmaster-y.

I have the MAC's on my 07 and they sound awesome. Drone? Yes, some but if you can take some drone, they sound very good. Listen to your two choices and decide what sounds best to you.

I agree they do have some drone, nothing a turn of the volume button cant control.
