Mac Axlebacks Installed (VIDEOS)

Just took some videos of my recently installed Mac mufflers (to go along with catted Prochamber).

http://media.putfile.com/Mac6
http://media.putfile.com/Mac5-87
http://media.putfile.com/Mac4
http://media.putfile.com/Mac3
http://media.putfile.com/Mac2
http://media.putfile.com/Mac1

Compare the above to my videos of the Borla Stingers below (again with the catted Prochamber):

http://media.putfile.com/GT1
http://media.putfile.com/GT2-59
http://media.putfile.com/GT3-66
http://media.putfile.com/GT4-85
http://media.putfile.com/GT5
http://media.putfile.com/GT6
http://media.putfile.com/GT-74

Haven't had time to really compare these videos, but they sound pretty similar. In person, I think I have to give the edge to the Macs. The swarms of Borla fans on here may disagree, but my initial impressions are that the Macs just sound deeper and meaner. They are louder though and drone a lot worse.

The MAC's I had on my 06' sounded very mean. What really changed the sound of the MAC's was the altitude.I went from 6,000ft. to around 500ft., I am picking up a set of Stingers this morning and changing out the stock muff's on my 07'GT.Anything has to be better than the stock units.

Sounds close to the same to me. It's hard to believe any other muffler could drone worse than the Borla's

My buddy installed a pair of very short pair Smitty's(like cherry bombs) before the axle and some SLP loud mouths on his 06'GT.That would prolly describe droning at its worst.

Out of the vid's the stingers totally have more of a growl to me, seems like the mac's just have a deep sound. They both sound really good

The Macs do sound very good- I've heard them in person and really liked them. But I just couldn't get myself to buy them, especially with the drone.

I put the Mac's on my GT conv. There is drone but the sound is perfect. If you listen to the Mac's and the Borla Stingers side by side there is a difference. The Mac's have a deeper growl to them.

Not everyone will like the Mac's better but the difference is there.

What matters is which mufflers sound best to your ear. Everyones ears are a little different.
