Lowered with LT's; Does anyone have issues w/scraping?

All;

I'm contemplating Longtube heaters but I remember reading that a member had issues with scraping speed bumps etc.

I'm lowered 1.5" and would love LT's but will go w/shorties if road clearance is an issue.

Thanks

Walt

I was lowered 1.25" in front and 1.5" in the rear on 18" wheels(now I have 20s). I have American Racing Headers LT's, and absolutely no scraping issues even with the 18s. I'd say go with the LT's!

Thanks!

From what I've read, JBA claims no loss in clearance but American Racing gets rave reviews. I'll have to call them and see about clearance.

I really don't think you could go wrong with either brand.

Eibach Pro (1.5) with BBK lt's and on issues on really steep angles, how often do you really find those anyways? If you hit a speed bump fast, you'll scrape, ease over and you'll be fine

American Racing is awesome, they hand build every order. The guys they have working in their shop are true "old school" guys. The reason why they get such great reviews is because they take great pride in their work. I carry both American Racing and JBA long tubes and I get many more good reviews about the American Racing ones than I do the JBA.

That's the way it is now (lol); I just don't want it to get any worse!

Exactly, anyone that complains is looking for something to complain about IMO, I think you'll be fine any way you go.

I would agree with these guys, except for the SLP longtubes. They hang LOW, really low underneath the frame rails.

I know some one with SLPs that drag and he wasn't lowered.

Thanks guys, this is what I need to know. It looks like SLP is a no-go!

I've got the Kooks headers with the FRPP K springs. So I'm lowered about 1.5" front and back. No issues here.

The only problem I had was when I installed the clamp at the mid pipe I had the bolt hanging down to low under the pipe and I would knick the concrete lip at my garage door when I entered it. I just rotated the clamp around a little to put the bolt up out of the way and it was fine. Nothing to do with the headers though, that problem was a result of the big drop from the springs.
