Lower Control Arm Installation

For anyone that has installed the Lower Control Arms, how the heck did you break the bolts free? I am get virtually no leverage on either the front of back 18mm bolts.

same here-just make sure when you do finally get them free and install the new ones to tighten the bolts while the rearend is either jacked up or the car is on the ground. Also I know you can get at the front bolt with the car on the ground but you wont get any leverage. The rears I think have to be done up in the air. good luck-maybe you need to get billy bob over there to help with the leverage

Not sure exactly what you mean. I just put a socket with a rachet on them and had no problem.

Actually, mine came off with a 1/2" ratchet and socket. Try a 24" breaker bar, $20 bucks from Autozone. That'll get her done.
EDIT: I see you got it already. Glad you broke them free.

torqued to about 80 ft/lbs as per instructions from the manufacturer (bmr). Disconnect the e-brake is pretty easy, so long as the e-break is OFF. Just pull on the cable with a set of pliers it comes right off. once you get in there you'll figure it out in no time.

The forward bolt is really breaking my chops...the head looks to be 18mm and the nut is 13/16 , I am doing it on a 4 post lift, cant get any leverage, the nut has these funky sides that looks like it was designed to be a keeper for the thread protector, if you use a socket and ratchet, you have no leverage and head of the ratchet hits the underbody.
So where exactly are you using the impact gun anyway?
Can anyone give me exact detail instructions the install the Steeda race/streeet Lca's. Any help will be much appreciated...Thanks, Dave
