the funky nut is so that you don't require two wrenches in there. Twist the bolt side, the nut isn't going to budge no matter how hard you pry on it. I don't recall any leverage issues. maybe I was just lucky, they weren't really on very tight at all, then again... I used a 18 inch torque wrench to take them off.
Thanks, I will have to give it another try this weekend hopefully...Is the bolt side 18mm, my sears 18mm wrench fits but my socket does not , any ideas on this?

I don't recall which socket I used. Whichever fit best.

This thread is funny. This whole thread probably started b/c someone was trying to remove the one side that doesn't move.

I bought my steeda street/race LCA's used about 3 months ago. While installing I notice one side of the poly bushing is cracked real good but you can only see it when you start torquing it down. I torqued the drivers side to 100lbs, the passenger side did not even get to the 100lb mark when I noticed the crack. I have been trying to call Steeda all week but the the lines must be down do to the hurricane that hit Fla this week.
Any input would be appreciated.
Also, the direction are calling for silicone grease...what is everybody using for this.
