Looking for pic of KB supercharger

Does anyone know of any pics of the KB installed on an '05/06? I can't find a pic on the Kenne Bell website.
I know that a handful of these are out in the marketplace right now, so I just want to see what it looks like (even if it was a prototype or a SEMA car).
Thanks.

We tried to get one for our SEMA car this year and were told they were not going to be available for a while. They were still working on prototyping and had only mockups on their engines. There was a photo that ran some time ago in one of the magazines that showed on a S197 though. I have not seen anything from them about production yet. They had no reason to blow us off as we used one of their superchargers on our 2001 SEMA car and received plenty of press coverage.

Great product, crappy people, IMO. KB himself badmouthed me publicly on another forum about 1 year ago. Even if I was deserving of it, which I was not, bad publicity for CEO to treat any current or potential customer that way. From what I have learned this isn't a rare occurence for their buisness. Just ask JBA in SD Don, see what happens if you need any warranty work or technical help.

Derek, I understand completely. If I go the KB route, I will probably work with Adam at ST Motorsports for the tuning, and he will be working directly with KB. See his post here: http://www.modularfords.com/forums/422697-post12.html Hopefully, all would be fine that way.

I just got off the phone with Adam at ST Motorsports. He spent pretty much all day at KB. He was able to answer my many questions. So, it looks like I will be taking delivery of a KB unit sometime in the next week or two.

Don, good luck. I hope things go well. Be sure and let people know either way if you have a good or bad experience with KB.

This is the problem I had with them in the first place. After agreeing to let me come by and see the project car last January they played a few silly games to get rid of me. I arrived in Rancho after visiting family over an hour away and they gave me directions to the wrong part of town. When I tried to call them back their phones werre on hold for over an hour and they knew I was in town because I called when I arrived to Rancho and they confirmed with me again that it was OK to come by. Long story short KB reports he had a company meeting about this and noone ever talked to me and that I made the whole thing up :bang: KB also stated that it is company policy not to allow anyone to see products in their shop and that the proper way to get in contact with them is e-mail, not the phone or in person. NICE.

KB's reputation is nothing to brag about. Deal with the vendor, and not the drama...IMO

Derek, sorry to hear about your bad experience with KB, and I'll definitely post how things go. I'm a straight shooter, no bull... good or bad.
And I'm planning on doing what The Greek suggests anyway. The vendor/installer I'm dealing with (Adam @ ST Motorsports) can handle the direct interface with KB. All I want from Adam is quality work and a fast car!!

Hi Don,
What is your timing to get SC'er from KB installed? Also, obviously you will get a different tune for the SC'er. I assume you will lose Doug's tune for your auto trans. Or can they be married together?

Since the KB units are just now starting to become available, timing is still a little up in the air. But, I should probably have it in hand in the next week or so. I have not determined when installation and tuning will occur. And yes, it will be custom dyno-tuned (mine may be the test mule for auto tranny cars with the KB, but I'm not sure yet), so the current tunes I have from Doug will have to be retired. They were created for my car as it is right now, and not for a blower application. I have already discussed this with my tuning shop, and let him know that torque management/pedal response is important to me. We shall see...

Your car will be fast, there is no doubt about that.
BTW, are the waves still up in San Diego? We will be there Monday, wanting to go surfing.

I found this pic from a post on ModularFords.com from early November. No explanation as to when or where it was taken. So, I'm not sure if this is what the final production install will look like.

Please post up some pics when you get your kit.
