Nothing out of the ordinary. It's a 275 on a 9.5" wide wheel and just sitting still there is zero bulge to the sidewall. Fairly sticky compound and a high cornering force will make that tire shift like you see.

I'm planning on getting a set of Enkei RPF-1's for my '08, and possibly for my Bullitt (for autocross duty). In the stock 17x8 size they are only 16 lbs each, and if I decide to go wider, they are also available in 8.5", 9", 9.5", and 10" widths too. Several 18" sizes are also available to fit Mustangs.

Those are some great wheels. Those and the 5zigen FN01Rc were my first choice based on performance (lightest), but both were backordered for a while back in the spring so I went with the RP03's (still pretty light for a 9.5" wide wheel at 19.2 lbs).

Those are made by BBS; a stunningly good looking wheel.

Not many ricers run those - they are much more a European car owner's wheel choice. They are also the lightest wheels (HLTs) in 20"x8.5" @ Weight: 23.0lbs! Not saying you should go that route...

For an all around wheel:

Forgot to ask, but what offset wheel, and size tire are you running? Also, how far is the car dropped?

I'm running the Enkei RS+M on the track. They max out at 18x8.5" with a 35mm offset so you're limited to a maximum 255 width tire but they are under 20 pounds and have a lot of open area for air flow.

Check out Tire Rack specs -- usually you can compare the weights of the exact tires you are considering. There are some substantial differences in weight between tires of the same size -- so for the best compare, look at the specific tires you're interested in.

Thanks, didn't know they had the weights on the website.
