I'm trying to decide what to get "Thor" for his birthday (Aug. 2). I'd like to get long tubes but not if they will be obnoxiously loud. I currently have Flows with the stock headers and h-pipe. Any suggestions?

with the flows it is going to be a bit louder unless you go with an offroad H or X-pipe but if you go with a catted H or X then it will be nice and a muscle car sound

 

I'm running the stock mufflers with my JBA longtubes/catted H. It was pretty loud with the Bassani's. Not sure about the flows but I'd keep my stockers around just in case.

 

as long as you get high flow cats it wont be too loud

 

Noise is more of a function of what you have after the headers ...

 

The headers made a big sound difference on my car.

 

I have long tubes, off road x, and cat-back...and I don't even have drone on the freeway...Bassani all the way!

 

Mine isn't to loud at all except for cold start up and at WOT

I have dynatech 1 3/4 primary to 3 inch collector long tubes, with a catted x-pipe and jba mufflers. The hi flow cats keep everything relatively quiet--much quieter then the off-road x-pipe.

 

Same here. My AR L/T's, Cat H, and Borla sound MEAN when I get on it!! What a difference.

 

A car named "Thor" should be loud. LOL

Although I have Flows, but sounds good. Less drone w/ LTs. Pretty quiet crusing.

 

How loud is it at WOT Lowe?

 

It's loud, but not ear bleeding load (like DougMM's). The cats seem to keep everything under control.

 

This is depressing. Now I really wish I went with longtubes .

 

At least now I know if I get the headers + h-pipe, it won't be cop attracting,hard to have a conversation,can be heard miles away, loud.
