The guy who does the PDI at the dealership drilled 2 license plate holes in the front bumper, despite me telling the salesman at least 3 times NOT to drill the holes.
At first I reluctantly put the front plate on, but then the next day I took it off, since I look around and see about 1/3 of the cars in this state without a front plate. For now, I just put the black plastic screws in the holes, but they really show up against the yellow paint.
Does anyone know if you can buy rubber plugs or something like that to plug the holes? Hopefully plugs that could be painted with the touch-up paint...

I've used plastic trim plugs available at an auto parts store to plug holes in license plate holes in 2 different cars. I was able to paint them to match on a white car. You could still see the plugs, but they looked like a factory installation.

The only other thing I can think of Bill is get the ford touch up stick from the parts dept and carefully mask off and paint the bolt and retainer plug for the plate .you will still see it but at least it will blend in with the car.

Having the dealer replace the front bumper cover seemed a bit radical to me. It's not that big a deal, and there always was a chance I'd get pulled over and get a warning to display the front plate anyway.

I have told my dealer several times that when the car arrives not to drill the front plate and he even put it on the order.
I'm thinking of not putting the 3rd brake light on the CDC ducktail so I might be asking for trouble with no front plate and no 3rd light tail I'm not too sure what I would say to the cop who might pull me over for 2 violations. Might be more than a fix-it ticket~

Same here - go to a Pep Boys (or similar store) and in the "HELP" section they have plastic fasteners of many sizes get the smallest ones you can find that will cover the holes (there are some "GM" labeled ones that I've used several times) and be sure to (very carefully) trim around the edge of the screw holes so the plugs will seat flat against the bumper.
good luck
