At the same time wanting to buy a s/c and hearing these problems with boost is what has me going back and forth, even with a Vortech S/C on order. I really don't have the cash to buy a new block, but in the famous words of Don_w, if you want to play you have to pay.
All day I have been thinking about with drawing my deposit on the s/c, because of this thread.

When did you order a supercharger Torrence? I knew Ron had ordered one but didnt know about you. Boy you and Ron are going neck and neck. Now you need to hit the track.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have logged over 1K miles with my new KB. I have run as hard as I can with nothing more than an occasional p0153 kicking out. At 8 psi I'm putting down 440 rwhp and 405 rwtq with a 93 tune @ 18 degrees. Whether it goes another 1000 or 10000 is still unknown but with a good tune and good gas with a reasonable amount of boost and timing imo you have nothing to worry about. Forget about gimicks, its all about your tune! A bottle will shut you down just as fast. Everyone here knows that if you can afford 7k for a blower then you probably didnt care either way. Just enjoy what you have and cross the bridges as they come. If youre prepared to play then you must be prepared to pay.

I would love to boost but dont want to have to do bottom end work. The motor now has 50,000 miles on it and Im not sure if I should do Cams, heads, TB, Chargemotion plates, Headers or just slap on a KB SC. What do you guys think? What has the best longevity? and what is it worth $ for $.

Aaahhh you know you want to... just slap on the KB!

Yeah and I would need to take out a loan to get one. All i need is a KB SC New H-beam forged rods and some 8.5:1 J&E Pistons and put the KB@ 11 LBS and Im good to go. Then I will have to drop in a CF DF clutch and a Tremmec TKO600 with the Hurst addaptor plate and 1 piece Driveshaft. So about 10,000.00 for what I want to do.
