Does anyone know if a K&N cold air intake for a 2008 Mustang GT will fit a 2006 Mustang GT? I have a chance to buy a used one for a really good price but I am afraid it may not fit...I believe it should work because I don't think there was any significant engine changes between those years, but there are two different part #'s at K&N's website. Anyone out there have some insight into this? Thanks.

 

It will most likely fit...im not sure what it will do to your MAF curve though...make sure you acquire a tune for your year and model not the one its coming from...

 

The reason they have two is probablly because the "phantom" changes they made between the 05-07 years and the 08-09 years...mainly they were very conservative on the computer programing of the 05-07 pcms. The 08-09 pcms were prob done better. Either way there isnt too much difference. Id recommend a brand new JLT CAI personaly. Very cheap and americanmuscle.com sells it with a tuner for cheap.

 

according to K&N it requires no tune, if used on the appropriate model anyway. I am not sure in my case. thanks for the advice.
