Cool Steed UDPs and Delete Plates Impressions

Well i know this topic has been discussed in detail elsewhere and there have been a few mixed reviews, I will say that in my opinion these were both awesome mods. These two mods on top of my previously installed JLT intake and updated tune have made my stang more fun to drive than ever. I can break the tires loose with ease where i could not before, the car feels stronger, and it even seems to shift smoothly more easily (still not sure if that part is my imagination or the new tune).

Install was pretty easy with the help of TacoBill. Would highly recommend searching for used parts if considering this as i got mine for roughly 50% off retail. Can't comment on mpg change just yet. Tuning done by Bama/AM.

Anyways, for anyone planning on staying NA for awhile i would recommend these mods to anyone wanting to pep their stang up a bit.

X2 i got my udp and delete plates from steeda at the same time. Along with my airaid CAI the drive was way more fun. Tires would kick out when i wanted them to and it just seemed to breath better. Definately worth the money.

If I am planning on installing a SC in the future.....I just wanted to confirm that the UDP's will not be of any use anymore. Are the delete plates still any good?

It depends on what type of S/C you get , if you get a positive displacement like a Whipple or my MagnaCharger you don't use the plates. The UDP's will cause either type S/C to produce less boost ...

Someone else can probably answer this better than me but i think it depends on the type of supercharger. I don't think the pullies can be used on any s/c but i remember the American Muscle site saying that delete plate gains are even greater on FI setups. However i bought by delete plates off a guy who installed a Saleen S/C and no longer needed them. That being said, unless you plan on going FI within the year and you can find these used for about $300 total id say go for it. You can always sell them when your done.
