I will post all information once I get it dynoed I am trying to get in touch with JBA right now because I want my headers, so hopefully it will be soon as for how it runs it seems great I have had it on there for about a month now and now problems, thats without the HC trap and no tune. As for the looks I will try to get a picture posted of mine, I painted it and it looks pretty sharp, definately better than that ugly plastic look that it came as.

you stated early you went from 265hp to 295hp with the predator and C&L...a 30hp gain.
So you only got an additional 10hp with the C&L, over the 91 octane tune?

It only gets a gain of 15.62 HP without a flash but I havent heard of any tune for that kit, I saw the webiste offering the Diablo and K&N Kit but I would like some proof on that, because I want to get mine tuned and the responses I am getting is that there isnt one. But I didnt put my HC trap in when I installed it and it works great, I cant wait for a dyno to see if it is better or worse than with it in like when K&N dynod it, but it is definately better than stock.

No one to my knowledge has put theirs on a DYNO and posted here what the gain actually was with the K&N system. If someone has actually DYNOED with the K&N setup please post the numbers.
Are those installing the K&N aware Ford no longer puts the HC trap in the pipe? I read that here on this forum. Wonder why that is?

Those Dyno #'s are on K&N's website, you would have to take it in and get a special tune done for it, I don't think anyone has a tune made up for it yet. As for the hydro carbon trap, I don't know, if it doesn't throw a CEL you should be OK...

I read that a tune can actually damage your motor over time by leaning it out too much. Is this true?
This is why the K&N setup seems more appealing to me. I want a little bit more power, but I don't want my engine to suffer because of it.

The dyno shown on the website was done with my car.....thats with the HC trap in it, I currently have the kit on with it out and have no problems at all...havent dynoed it that way yet but will soon....I am going to get a new baseline done before the headers are installed and again after they are installed to see that gain so I could then report on all those different set ups....still no tune, SurfnSoCal and I are going to try tuning it in the near future kind of a seat of the pants method since there isnt a programed tune yet.

I emailed K & N today concerning using their CAI with the H/C trap removed. My car was built late April and came without a trap. Here's their response:
Thomas,
If your car does not have the trap then there is nothing to worry about. It is primarily the vehicles that came with the trap that it is important that it be reinstalled.
Thanks for writing
