BTW, You have the elbow on the throttle body backwards. The short side goes on the throttle body. The part #'s should be on the bottom.

Also, All JLT kis come with the plastic heat shield you see here. Plastic is much better at keeping heat from the filter. We use 1/4" think plastic for this very reason.

I am about to but this combo myself.... but I didnt know you could mount this on backwards... thought it was molded differently on each end.
So for clarification....this heatshield shown in the picture comes with this JLTII CAI???... Because I have seen so many engine bays without a heat sheild on thier JLTII.

.For the record when I took it out of the box the elbow side of the joint for the tube was oval and the other side was round. I do admit it was alot easier to put it together the correct way. I told you all I am new at this.
