Thanks for your post and order. Doug is a great tuner and can make a Mustang scream.
BTW, You have the elbow on the throttle body backwards. The short side goes on the throttle body. The part #'s should be on the bottom.
Also, All JLT kis come with the plastic heat shield you see here. Plastic is much better at keeping heat from the filter. We use 1/4" think plastic for this very reason.

So for clarification....this heatshield shown in the picture comes with this JLTII CAI???... Because I have seen so many engine bays without a heat sheild on thier JLTII.
I am about to but this combo myself.... but I didnt know you could mount this on backwards... thought it was molded differently on each end.

Yes the heat shield comes with the setup as in the picture. On the putting it on backwards part
.For the record when I took it out of the box the elbow side of the joint for the tube was oval and the other side was round. I do admit it was alot easier to put it together the correct way. I told you all I am new at this. Thread
