It is a hugh difference!! Welcome to the club. I was swapping between the Bamachips 91 Race and 91 Torque tunes this weekend....there is a difference and I like them both - but the rush of the 91 torque Tune when you hit a 3k punch is awesome....the beast just flat LEAPS ahead

How do you like the JLTII? I was thinking about either getting the combo from either tillman or bama. What made up your decision?

I was doing the same thing. I went with Bama because I have an auto and I heard only great things about Doug's tune so I went with him. It was an easy install also. Trust me I am a novice at this stuff.

I've had my JLT II since my '05 GT and Jay Tucker is great to deal with. He stands behind his product and it just flat works. I originally chose the JLT with XCal I/DLP tune combo for the '05 as it was showing one of the best hp gains and was reasonably priced. I finally upgraded to the XCal II when I bought the '07 since the programming was different and I needed to get another tune anyways. Doug's tunes are great and the JLT/BAmaChips combo just works well.

Onirb..... does that heat shiel you have on your JLTII come with it from Bamachips??? That is one of the reasons I was looking ot get one from Tillman, because they sell thier Heatshields. Every picture I see....shows it without the shield.....and it makes it look so much cleaner...not to mention helps with Cold Air seperation from the Engine.

Did it get rid of the lag when you step on the throttle? Can you really feel the difference, or is it mental?

The heat sheild came with the setup. It is the same shape but plastic if I remember correctly (long day at work). I was thinking of buying the tillman sheild but I am going to wait untill I hear some reviews.

To me some lag is their but not as much as before. It is definately quicker.

Another happy BamaHead The 93 race tune ROCKS! To answer some earlier questions: Yes, it greatly reduces throttle lag... and yes, it makes a BIG difference

My car: From a dead stop...if I gun the throttle it won't peel off...unless I'm in a turn or hold the break and rev it up.

Your car with the tune: Did the response change to where you can peel off...

Glad to hear your happy.
Thanks for your post and order. Doug is a great tuner and can make a Mustang scream.
BTW, You have the elbow on the throttle body backwards. The short side goes on the throttle body. The part #'s should be on the bottom.

Also, All JLT kis come with the plastic heat shield you see here. Plastic is much better at keeping heat from the filter. We use 1/4" think plastic for this very reason.

Thanks
Jay

Yes it did and the 91 Race Tune from BamaChips makes that throttle very eager and yes it is a BIG difference, not only do you gain RWHP but the largest difference (IMO) is the improvement in overall drivability - I have a stick - but for those with autos - it is even a larger improvement I'd imagine
