Just got my JLT CAI and X Cal 2 tuner.

Still have not got the 1st oil change, should I wait till then to install it? I got a free oil change at the dealership and was worried about what they will say about the warranty?

I'd be to excited to wait. Oil changes are pretty cheap. Forfeit the free dealer oil change, make your mod and hit the street/track.

 

I feel your pain! My JLT/SCT2 is sitting on my workbench. I had the car in the dealership today for a minor vibration issue, so I held off. Also, I'm still not at 93 octane in my gas tank yet--it's torture burning off the gas so I can tank up with 93! I figure I'll do the install on Saturday.

Oh, and I'm only at 563 miles!

 

Do the install and leave it in for the oil change. They don't care... I've gone in for service many times and never change back to stock. They don't say a word about it. Actually, I usally get a crowd of Salesman around my car.

 

Don't worry, they can't void your warranty unless you have some sort of major mechanical failure which is caused by one or more of your after-market mods. If they even say anything ask them if they are familar with the "Magnuson Moss Warranty Act". Just take it in with the CAI kit and tune and I bet they won't say a thing.

Forget the oil change.... besides... No dealer is going to put Mobil 1 in your car and its worth the extra money. Roll up your sleeves, go to Autozone and do it yourself
