I thought that Dynojets usually put out higher numbers? The Mustang Dyno's usually put out more exact numbers that you are putting down ie lower RWHP/RWTQ...

Ya the dynojet should have put out more than the mustang dyno unless the MD was calibrated different.

Yeah Jim I was just as shocked with your results as everyone else, but I wouldn't get too caught up in the numbers. Like Scott said, you should head out to the track and see what it runs, and as long as you are happy thats all that matters. And just for the record your stang had the sweetest sound of the bunch!

Thanks Matt!! Knowing how well it sounds makes the disappointing #s a little easier to swallow. At least it's an honest to goodness 300rwhp car.

Anyone have a twin screw they want to part with? Doesn't look like N/A is gonna get me close to the 350 mark.

Yeah, don't get wrapped around the dyno # axle. Let's cruise to the track some night to get the real numbers.

And yes, you're car sounds bad @s$!!
I still plan to go with LT's just for that. I might wait a little longer now.

that is strange.. what were the weather conditions like?? was it hotter yesterday then when you dynoed it last time? I'm sure that "may" play a role too. Just like everyone has said.. numbers are just numbers.. I'm sure it sounds awesome.

Weather conditions. It was an indoor shop so there was some A/C action. In the shop, dyno temp was 86*, humidity 26%.

What gets me is the headers didn't do anything more that a cattless H-pipe.

CR at TillmanSpeed as already called me this morning. Must have been 8:30am his time. He estimates at least another 10 rwhp with some spark and fuel adjustments. Thanks to the folks at CentralTexasStangs.com for helping me out and getting the datalogging to work. That info was useful.

So another tune is on it's way. I'll get it loaded up and see what happens. Anyone ready for another dyno day!

From dyno numbers other members have posted with similar mods, I think 310-315 is right about where you should be. Add cams and you are at 340-345. Get the GT500 TB after cams. Then you have 350rwhp.

At least CR called you, I'm STILL waiting for him to email me my updated tune! (and I've asked him numerous times to do so, and given him my email address) Come on CR, send me the fixed tune so I can run your tune, and not have to worry about the CEL coming on.

At least the headers sound good.

FYI, there were 2 other stangs that dyno'd after me. For comparison, here is roughly their info:

Stang 1:
-06 Mustang GT manual
-Demolet CAI, Bama 87 oct tune, moto UDPs, CMCV DPs, cattless H-pipe, Pypes over axle and tail pipe (loud SOB).
-A/F mid to low 13s thru out run.
-300HP/317TQ

Stang 2:
-06 Mustang GT manual
-JLT CAI, Bama 93 oct tune, CMCV DPs, cattless H-pipe, don't remember the axle backs.
-A/F low 13.2 to 12.8
-301HP/318TQ

Looks like loosing the cats is as effective for making power as adding LT headers!?!

So what do you think?

Jim- If you go with Saleen, you can keep your current intake! And its twin screw aswell.

Oh yeah! I've been looking around today. I like the twin screws:

Don't think I like the idea of $5,100+ for a "basic" 3.5 or 4 psi supercharger right now. Anyone have a used one?!? Naw, but seriously, it will be at least early 2008 (read warranty ends) before I'm ready to either go cams/heads or S/C. I'm not loosing the headers now, so a turbo is out, and I'm just not a big fan of the centris. I suppose there is always nitrous, but it scares me a bit.

Its a good idea not to do nitrous with the Racer intake cause if the nitrous backs up it will shred the Racer up since its plastic.

Sounds like the Roush blower could be a good idea? Maintains factory warranty, but you do have to keep the stock pully - Though you should be able to hit 360-370 to the wheels.


And Ive never heard anything about not using Nitrous with the Racer CAI, but who knows - Im not a big nitrous junkie.
